Mike Perrotta
Specialties : Junior Tournament Training and Coaching, High Level Ladies Team Doubles Play Mike Perrotta is starting his 6th full season here at the Racquet Club as both a teaching professional and as our club manager. Mike previously worked at The Willows in North Andover and before that was a staple at Gold's Gym (Previously known as Racquetime) in Danvers, MA. Mike graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, RI and attended Rhode Island College, in Providence, RI playing the number 1 singles position while there. Mike's coaching experience is extensive having coached high school tennis at his Alma Mata and college tennis at Johnson & Wales University in Providence before coming to the North Shore and taking the position of Director of Tennis at Gold�s Gym in 1997. Mike is still active as a player occasionally participating in amateur events in his home state and charity events in Massachusetts and Connecticut. Professionally Mike teaches both Juniors and Adults and he is in charge of the T.T.A. Program (Tournament Training Academy) working closely with John Tracy forming one of the best one-two coaching punches in the North Shore Junior League and in New England today. Mike is also known for his great work with Ladies North Shore League doubles teams having been the Head Coach on many playoff and League Championship teams. |

John Tracy Specialties: High Level and Ranked Junior Players, All Levels of Ladies Team Tennis Doubles Play John Tracy is entering his 12th season here at the Racquet Club. John is a graduate of Triton Regional High School and attended Division 1 Northeastern University where he excelled as the school�s number 1 singles player. Before coaching at RC of NBPT John was a highly sought out teaching professional who taught at Northmeadow and Indian Ridge. John has remained very active as a player and has continued his high level and successful playing career-winning tournaments such as the ABC Tournament, Loon Mountain, Haverill Open, Yankee Homecoming, and our own Lago Bowl many times over the past eight years. Professionally John teaches both Juniors and Adults and is thought of as one of the best- if not the best instructors- throughout all of New England! John is an outstanding all around teacher of both singles and doubles strategy and technique and all of us here at the Racquet Club that know of John�s talent feel very fortunate to have him as our lead pro here at our club! |

Kelly Ouellet Specialties: All Levels of Singles Hitting Lessons, Private and Semi Private Lessons with All Levels Kelly is entering her 15th year of service here at the Racquet Club. Kelly is a wonderful teaching professional who also tirelessly helps with the placement of current members to the correct level of teams, round robins, singles leagues and contract times and evaluates our new members so they can start their tennis experience with us at the Racquet Club in the right program at the correct level for them. Kelly is a graduate of Andover High School in Andover, Massachusetts and attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Kelly was highly ranked both as a Junior and in the Women�s Open Division throughout New England. Kelly has won many events including the Yankee Homecoming, Abenaqui Country Club Tournament and was a past champion of our very own Lago Bowl. Kelly has also taught at Ipswich Country Club and at the Governor�s Academy (formerly known as Governor Dummer�s Academy) where she was known for her thorough technical private lessons and strategic doubles clinics for players of all levels and ages. Kelly is an irreplaceable staple here at the Racquet Club and there is no way to express how invaluable she is with her endless on the court and off the court efforts to keep the all of our programs running smoothly! |

Richard Hornridge
Specialties : All Levels Ladies Doubles Team Play Richard has been employed as a tennis professional at Cedardale, North Andover Country Club, Willows, he is in his 5th year at Newburyport Racquet Club, and has coached at Brooks School. He has won numerous tennis tournaments, played college tennis, and was a playing member of two USTA teams which competed Nationally in San Diego and in Indian Wells. In paddletennis was ranked number 1 in New England for most of a 20 year career, many times ranked in the top 16 in the open national division, and was three times National champion in various senior divisions. Richard graduated from Kimball Union, attended Clark University, and was graduated from Boston University after a stint in the Navy. He was employed by Raytheon where he worked as part of a team negotiating contracts with the government, and later was president of an employment agency. |
Sue Page Specialties: All Levels Ladies Team Tennis Coaching Sue has been the heart and soul of our Ladies Teams' here at the Racquet Club for over 20 years now. Sue joined the Racquet Club in 1974 when it first opened and really caught the tennis bug. She played for Newburyport in the Dorothy Bruno Hill league's top division and competed for 28 years. Sue played in the USTA National Championships 3 times and also played at the US Open in the Husband & Wife Division representing New England in the Equitable Life National Tournament. In 1978 Sue was encouraged to become a tennis instructor and did so by starting the Racquet Club's first Junior Team while also coaching at Endicott College and coaching the Amesbury High School Boys team for a total of twenty years. Sue has been the one contant and staple since the Racquet Club opened on January 1st, 1974. She has been our lead coach for the Ladies teams and all of us here would be lost without her! | |

Chet Rogers 1934-2010 Specialties: In-House Junior Program Head Professional Chet Rogers passed away on December 15th, 2010. Chet was in his 4th year here at the Racquet Club. Chet was a certified USPTA teaching professional for 25 years and was also a member of the Prince Pro Staff for 20 years. He started at the Danvers Racquettime (later called Gold's Gym Racquet and Fitness) under the tutelage of Bob Lechten in 1982. Chet has also been the head coach of both the Danvers High School boys and girls varsity tennis teams in Danvers, MA as well as the Lakes Region High School in Bridgeton, ME. Chet was also the Head Professional at the Danversport Yacht Club in Danversport, MA for 10 years and had been a certified racquet stringer for 25 years stringing for both high school and college teams in Massachusetts and Maine. Chet was an indispensible member of our teaching staff here at the Racquet Club of Newburyport with his strong focus on technique and fundamentals with beginner and advanced beginner juniors. Chet was considered one of the most professional teaching professionals in the entire New England tennis teaching community and we at the Racquet Club of Newburyport feel fortunate to have had him be part of our staff. He will be truly missed but forever will be remembered in the hearts of all who new him, all who took lessons from him and all who loved him. |

Karen LeBlanc Specialties: Beginner Juniors Lessons Karen will be celebraring her 16th year as a staff member and as an instructor when the racquet club of newburyport kicks off the 2007-2008 season. Karen had previously worked as a first grade teacher before raising three sons with her husband and spends most of her free time now with her two grandsons. Karen loves working with children of all ages but especially enjoys her time with beginners because of their honesty and desire to learn. |

Teresa Blomgren Specialties: Junior and Adult Beginner and Advanced Beginner Lessons Teresa has been a member of the teaching and coaching staff here at the Racquet Club of Newburyport for 16 years. She has coached Ladies teams, taught private lessons for all ages and levels, organized round robins, and has bene an instructor of our club's In-House Junior Clinic Program for children. Teresa is currently in her 6th season as a tennis coordinator at the Oldtown Country Club in Newbury, MA and is in her second year as head coach of the Triton High School Girls Tennis Team. Teresa is still very active as a player here at the club as she is an integral part of the Ladies A Upper Team - the highest level of play in the North Shore Tennis League. Teresa enjoys playing as much as she enjoys teaching but derives her real pleasure when she sees the amazed look on one of her student's faces when they accomplish something special on the tennis court that they weren't able to do before she showed them how. |
T.J Dang Specialties: In-House Junior Program and T.T.A. Assistant Teaching Professional T.J. has made his mark at the Racquet Club in the short time he has been here. T.J. will be starting his 3rd season here at the club. Originally from Norwalk, Connecticut T.J. came back to tennis four years ago after a 20 year absence. T.J. has been teaching mainly outdoors for local park and recreation programs in the Nashua and Manchester, New Hampshire areas where he runs his very popular Time4Tennis program. T.J. is the NH winter Junior League Coordinator for the USTA and coaches one of our Summer Junior Teams here at the Racquet Club. T.J. is solid coach who focuses on player development for Intermediate Junior Players and all of us feel very fortunate he has come here and brought his passion for teaching to the Racquet Club. |
